Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an institution which
has been entrusted with the huge responsibility of selecting suitable
candidates for the clerical and PO posts which arise in the various
nationalized banking institutions which accept the recruitment platform
provided by the IBPS. Till the last year, there were a total of 19
government owned banks which were using IBPS CWE as a platform to find
out the most suitable candidates who could fill in the vacancies
related to the clerical or PO posts in the banks. Also in this year
onwards, there would be 19 nationalized banks which would follow the
platform provided by the IBPS. Due to the reason that the validity of
score cards issued on the basis of the CWE held last year are about to
end, IBPS has notified about the CWE to be conducted again this year
tentatively in the month of December.
Appearing in the CWE is a mandatory step to follow if any candidate wants to get into a clerical post or equivalent in any of the 19 nationalized banks which follow the platform provided by the IBPS. The candidates will be required to clear the CWE with the qualifying marks as the minimum in order to get the hopes up for the selection decision. The candidates who qualify the CWE Clerk – 3 will have to attend a Common Interview as the next step of the selection process. This is also a new procedure that has been included in the recruitment of the candidates for these 19 banks. The candidates who perform good enough in both these rounds would be selected on the basis of their order of preference of banks and their marks.
The candidates need to have the minimum educational qualification, which is a graduation degree in any discipline from any recognized college or university. The candidates must also possess knowledge of computer operations and should have a certification for the same or they should have it as a subject in their schooling records.
