Applications are invited from the citizens of India for filling up the following temporary position for the sponsored project undertaken in the Department of Systems & Control Engineering of this Institute. The positions are temporary initially for a period of 1 Year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The requisite qualification & experience etc. are given below:
Project Code, Project Title & Funding Agency 11DRDO015 : “Multivariable Control Scheme for Gas Turbines using the Model Predictive Control Strategy” (Defence Research & Development Organisation)

Position & Salary Project Engineer (1 Post ) Consolidated salary Rs.28000/- p.m. Qualification M.Tech/M.E. in Instrumentation and Control,with minimum one year experience in relevant field. Should have sound knowledge in design of autotuning PID controllers, and iterative learning control techniques. Further, must have at least one year?s experience in design and implementation of PID techniques to real world laboratory system including Matlab, LabVIEW graphical programming language and LabVIEW based hardware interfacing. Position & Salary Project Research Assistant (1 Post ) Consolidated salary Rs.24000/- p.m. Qualification B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation and Control, minimum one year experience in relevant field. Should have working experience on Gas Turbine Simulator and Gas Turbine Control Systems, Model Predictive Control (MPC) and explicit MPC techniques. Further, must have some experience in applying MPC techniques to plant models, especially Gas Turbine plant models. Moreover, must have some experience in design and implementation of control techniques to real world laboratory system including Matlab, LabVIEW graphical programming language and LabVIEW based hardware interfacing. The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project.
