Meghalaya Police has uploaded new recruitment notification as Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2014 in order to boost up their local protection to resident of the state and inviting online application on its official site ay meghpol.nic.in for total 1320 various vacancies. Meghalaya Police department provides the protection to the people of Meghalaya against illegal activities and also recruits the candidates in police department for various posts.
Meghalaya police department has to cover all area of the Meghalaya state and that’ why they need more man power. That’s why they are going to recruit for the various posts and there are total 1320 vacancies are going to be filled by this recruitment. Number of post: 1320 posts
Name of post:

1. Armed Branch Sub-Inspector Police: 120 posts
2. Commandos/ Constables Male: 1200 posts (Women-180)
3. Mechanics: 08 posts
4. Buglers: 04 posts
5. Armourers: 04 posts
6. Signal/ Communication Constables: 18 posts
7. Drivers: 40 posts
8. Followers: 60 posts (Male)

Age limit:

• For post no 1: Should be between 21 to 27 years
• For post no 2 to 7: Should be between 18 to 21 years
• For post no 8: Should be between 18 to 27 years

Application fee:

• Only Rs. 50/- need to be paid by the candidates

Educational qualification:

• For post no 1: Should have done Graduation
• For remaining posts: Candidate should have passed class 10 or class 12 with valid driving license for Driver’s post

Selection procedure:

• Candidates get selected on the basis of the Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test and Trade cum Interview
