Details of Post : Executive director: The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) was constituted in November 2002 as an autonomous body under Government of Kerala to promote excellence in science, technology and development with the involvement of academia, industry and research organizations. In order to keep its R&D institutions in the forefront of their respective expertise and innovations, we are looking for dynamic, result-oriented, top-notch scientist with relevant academic/management experience to be appointed as Director. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following position. Executive Director, Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM), Kozhikode The Executive Director is the Chief Executive of the Centre and is responsible for the management, administration and development of prospective plan for the institution by providing effective leadership. He /She is expected to lead the institution in an international level and should be able to visualize the problems in the respective fields in a global scenario and identify local solutions. The tenure will be for a period of five years.



Qualification: First Class Masters degree in Engineering, preferably PhD with specialization in Water resources, engineering/Hydraulic engineering/Hydrology or related fields from reputed institutions. Experience: Minimum of 15 years in a research/academic/R&D Institutions of which at least 5 years should be in the grade of Scientist F (Pay band Rs 37400 -67000 Grade pay 8900) or shall be presently holding the grade of scientist G (Pay band Rs. 37400- 67000 Grade pay 10000). Equivalent positions/grade in similar institutions will also be considered. Experience should be reflected in scientific publications in indexed journals, patents, books etc. Candidates with experience of R&D administration will be preferred. Age: Below 55 years as on 01.01.2014 Scale of pay: Pay Band Rs. 37400 – 67000, Grade Pay Rs. 10000 NOTE: The requirements of age and experience can be relaxed in the case of exceptionally meritorious candidates. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to fill or not to fill the position without assigning any reason.
