Job Description: QLogic, a leading supplier of high performance storage and networking solutions, simplifies the process of networking storage by providing the only end-to-end SAN infrastructure in the industry. QLogic builds solutions based on all storage network technologies including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and FCoE/Ethernet. We are looking for test engineers to be based out of our global design center in Pune in the System integration testing (SIT) organization. In this position, you will be responsible for design, creation and execution of system and regression testing of Ethernet, FC/FCoE & iSCSI firmware, drivers, and management software for QLogic 10GbE Converged Network Adapters and Fibre Channel Adapters We have openings for this position in Windows, Linux, ESX (VmWare), and Solaris Operating environments Required

Skills: BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering degree. 1-3 years of experience in testing – networking or storage drivers on Operating environments such as Windows, Linux, ESX. Preference would be for ESX. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Experience in Powershell, shell scripting, perl/Tcl/python/expect/etc. Knowledge/hands on experience on networking and storage protocols like Ethernet, TCP-IP, iSCSI, FC & FCoE. Knowledge of Virtualization, OS internals and device drivers. Preference would be for ESX Having hands on experience / knowledge of SRIOV. Having knowledge of network switches with hands on experience in configuration of switch as per test requirements. Should be familiar with technologies like VLAN, trunking. Having debugging skills with Finisar tracer & Wireshark. Having hands on experience with IO tools like medusa, IO meter & Chariot. Having hands on experience on server technology for HP, IBM or Dell with Blade & Rack environment. Good communication skills and must be able to work in a team environment. Good to have hands on experience on Brocade, Broadcom or Qlogic CNIC adapters. Responsibilities include: Execute system and stress tests. Create Test setup as per test requirements. Develop and execute regression test suites and tests using automated test infrastructures Defect logging and accurate gathering of required test logs Report status updates based on executed test results. Provide technical guidance to newer or less experienced team personnel. Work as dedicated team member. Adhere to Lab processes.
