Introduction: Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation is life line of Bangalore. For the purpose of public transportation, BMTC formed in year 1997. This is other Transport Company
after KSRTC undertaken by Karnataka Government to ferry more than
4.2million passengers in Bangalore city, urban and sub-urban area near
Bangalore. It operates within an area of 36 kilometers from the center
of Bangalore city through a fleet of 6092 buses. It has more than 32000
employees to serve better services in city, villages and other areas of
Bangalore. For the purpose of its smooth operations, BMTC recruits
employees from time to time. BMTC is currently inviting application for
the recruitment of various posts as explained below.
The applications are invited by BMTC to fill 384 vacancies
in Company through its notification dated 12th Feb 2013. These
positions are vacant for the post of technicians. The current opening
posts of technicians are divided as follows:
Diesel Mechanic (300 Posts), Welder (25 Posts), Sheet Metal Worker (39
Posts), Auto Electrician (14 Posts), Turner (02 Posts) and Fitter (04
Posts). Only selected candidates will join the BMTC on various posts as mentioned above.
A candidate, only those who satisfy minimum educational qualification,
as notified by the BMTC through its notification for recruitment of
employees will be selected for job.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates required to fill application form in given format available on website. Candidates can download, type or write application form to fill it correctly in their own hand writing. They need to paste their current passport size photograph on application form.
Also, candidates are required to send attested copies of their
educational qualification, experience certificate if any, character
certificate along with application form to BMTC, Shanti Nagar, Bangalore – 560027 through post.
Last date of application submission is 28-02-2013. It is advised to
send your application as soon as possible to reach office of BMTC before
last date 28-02-2013.
Selection Procedure:
Managing committee of Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation is the sole authority for final selection of candidates applying for these posts. The candidates who will satisfy educational and age limit criteria will be shortlisted for interviews. The committee will finally select the candidates after verifying the documents, fitness test, relaxation in age claimed if any.
