Project Fellow-I

Indian nationals are invited for Walk-In-Interview on 18.07.2014 at about 10.30 AM one Project Fellow-I to work on a systems biology project “Systems and mathematical biology approaches to understand metabolic disorders or infectious diseases”. The work involves development of mathematical and biostatistical modeling of origin and evolutionary conservation of gene networks and pathways in various metabolic disorders and infectious diseases of viral and bacterial origin. Candidates should have a strong background in Physics, chemistry and mathematics along with working knowledge of biology. The candidates are expected to meet the demand of these systems biology related research and expected to be highly motivated.

NAME OF THE POST : PROJECT FELLOW-I

1. QUALIFICATION: M.Sc. (minimum 55% marks)/BE/B.Tech (minimum 60% marks) in Biotechnology/Biological sciences or any other similar stream in Biosciences. Candidates with a good track record with over all CGPA above 7.0 and in their final year of studies, receiving their grades by the date of joining, can also apply. Candidates with experience in systems and/or mathematical biology related researches are preferred.

3. FELLOWSHIP: – As per DBT rules, Rs.12,000/- + HRA
4. AGE: 28 years as on 18.07.2014, age relaxation for women and other entitled categories as per DBT rules.

The above position is purely temporary for a period of one year and will not lead to any PhD degree in NISER. It would, therefore, not confer any right/ claim, implicit, or explicit for consideration/ absorption against any NISER post.

Interested candidates should appear for a walk in interview scheduled to be held on 18.07.2014 at about 10.30 AM at NISER Bhubaneswar along with their resume duly filled in all respect in the prescribed proforma (given in page 2-3 of this document) along
with copies of all certificates at the time of interview with recent passport size photograph pasted on it. Original documents should be produced at the time of interview for verification. The selection will be made on the basis of Interview of the candidates. All candidates are requested to reach one hour before the scheduled
time.
