Junior Research  Fellow:

A Walk-in-Interview will be held on July 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the office of the Head of the Department, Department of Biotechnology, NIT, Durgapur for the following positions

1. Eligibility Criteria : M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Microbiology/ Biochemistry or an allied area with at least 60% marks. Research experience in plant tissue culture, molecular biology and microbiology is preferable. Candidates should have a valid NET or NET(LS) qualification.
2. Name of the Project : RNAi-based resistance to rice blast fungus
3. Fellowship :  Rs. 12,000/- + HRA p.m.

Interested and eligible candidates must appear in person directly before the Selection Committee with a typed and signed application, quoting advertisement No. on the envelope as well as application, with complete curriculum vitae giving e-mail ID, phone number and details of qualification i.e. examination passed, year, division, percentage of marks from Secondary onwards with attested copies of testimonials addressed to the Principal Investigator, DBT-PLANT PROJECT, Department of Biotechnology, NIT, Durgapur – 713209.

Terms and conditions:

1. The above position is purely contractual, and is initially for a period of six months, which renewable further subject to the satisfaction of the Principal Investigator. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim any regular appointments/absorption in this institute.
2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
3. Candidates called for interview should come with original mark-sheets, certificates etc.
