Educational Qualification:

• Applying candidates should possess M. Sc or equivalent Degree/ Integrated BS-MS / BS-4 years/ BE/ B.Tech/ B. Pharma/ MBBS with at least 55% marks for general and OBC-Non Creamy layer candidates (Central list only as provided in National Commission for Backward Classes and 50% for SC/ST, Persons with disability (PwD) candidates.
• Candidates enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination as on 01.03.2016 are also eligible to apply.
• BSc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in Integrated MS. PhD program with at least 55% marks for general and OBC (Non Creamy layer) candidates; 50% marks for SC/ST, Persons with disability (PwD) candidates are also eligible to apply.

Age Limitation:

• For JRF: Upper age of applicants should be 28 years as on 01-01-2017.
• For LS: No upper age limit
• Upper Age Limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ Persons with disability (PwD) and female applicants).

Application Fee:

• For General Category: Rs.1000/-
• For OBC-NCL Category: Rs. 500/-
• For Physically Handicapped (PH)/ SC/ST/ Visually Handicapped (VH ) category applicants: Rs.250/-
• Candidates need to pay application fee through Bank Challan OR through RTGS or NEFT.

Method of Selection:

Selection will be done on basis of their performance in National Eligibility Test 2017 or other section rounds.
