Income Tax Department Recruitment 2013 - All Notifications



About Employer: Income Tax Department of Andhra Pradesh with their slogan “Paying Tax is not a Liability it is a Responsibility” is here to promote simplicity and liability in the working of public authorities. The Income Tax Department works under supervision and control of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). It has around 60,000 employees located in more than 500 cities and towns across the country and each of the region is being headed by a Chief Commissioner of Income Tax.

Meritorious sports persons are invited to apply for the posts of Inspector of Income-tax, Multi-Tasking Staff and Tax Assistant with the government of Maharashtra. Notification for the posts is taken out by the office of Chief Commissioner of Income-Tax (CCA), Mumbai. The address is AayakarBhavan, 3rd floor, M.K. Road, Mumbai – 400020. Advertisement is for fresh applications from different fields of sports world. The advertisement has been released on 20th of February, 2013. Previous applicants can try for the new posts with fresh forms for application.

Recruitment Details
Meritorious sports personalities from the fields of athletics, billiards, cricket, chess, badminton, body building, snooker, basketball, football, bridge, table tennis, volleyball, swimming, kabbadi, tennis and rifle shooting are eligible for the various posts with the income tax department. There are 81 posts divide as Inspector of Income-tax (14 posts), Tax Assistant (56 posts) and Multi Tasking Staff (11 posts).

Eligibility Criteria
  • Sportsmen of international level, those who have represented their State at National level, sportsmen from inter university tournaments, sportsmen from State Schools and those from All India School Games Federation can apply for the vacant posts. Physical Efficiency National Award winners can also apply for the posts. Candidates are to be selected according to the order of eligibility mentioned in the advertisement.
      
  • Age limit for Inspector of Income-tax is 18 to 27. Age limit for Tax Assistant is also 18 to 27 and that for Multi-Tasking Staff is 18 to 25. Age relaxation for OBC candidates is five years and it is ten years for a SC or ST candidates.
     
  • Educational Qualifications required for various posts are as follows: A degree from some recognized university or an equivalent qualification is required for the applicant for Inspector of Income-tax. Along with the degree mentioned a tax assistant should have a speed of 8000 keystrokes per hour for Data Entry. Matriculation certificate is enough for a Multi-Tasking Staff. The certificate should be from a recognized board or university.

Selection Process 
Chosen candidates need to appear for a Proficiency Test which is a ground field trial. The eligible candidates need to fulfil the requirement given in DOP & T, DOP & T O.M. No. 14034/195-Estt (D) taken out on fourth of May, 1995. The proficiency Test will be followed by an interview cum personality test. Computer Skill Test needs to be cleared by candidates who are applying for post taken out for Tax Assistants.
 

How to apply for Income Tax Recruitment 2013 project?

Application forms can be downloaded online, filled and forwarded to ITO (HQ) OSD-Personnel, R.No. 362, AaykarBhavan, M.K. Road, New Marine Lines, Mumbai, Maharashtra, 400020. The forms can either be posted or delivered by hand by five in the evening on 15th of April, 2013 or before it. The applications envelope should be super scribed as: “Application for the Post of………..Under Meritorious Sports Persons Quota/Sports Code…………”

A sportsman can mention up to three sports in his application and can apply likewise. Graduation and matriculation is required on the form. Best Performance Year Code, participation in the event and its code is also required to complete the form.

Income Tax Department Recruitment 2013 Details

The Income Tax Department of Andhra Pradesh has announced the notification for the recruitment of 41 candidates for the posts of Income Tax Inspector, Stenographers Gr. II, Tax Assistants and Multi-tasking Staff. The distribution of candidates as per the different categories is mentioned below:

Pay Band: The pay scale is also different for different posts:

For Income-Tax Inspectors, the pay scale is in between Rs.9300/- to 34800/- along with the grade pay of Rs.4600/-.
  
For Stenographers Gr-II and Tax Assistants, the pay scale is same i.e. in between Rs.5200/- to 20200/- along with the grade pay of Rs.2400/-.
  
For Multi-tasking staff the pay scale is Rs.5200/- to 20200 along with the grade pay of Rs.1800.
  

Eligibility Criteria for Income Tax Department Recruitment 2013

The interested candidates should meet the following eligibility criteria:

Age Limit: For Inspectors and Stenographers, the age limit should be between 18 to 27 years and for Tax Assistants and Multi-tasking staff, the age limit should be between 18 to 25 years. Age relaxation will be extended for different category candidates as per the government rules i.e. 5 years for unreserved candidates, 8 years for OBC candidates, 10 years for ST/SC candidates and 3 years for Central Government Employees.

Educational Qualification: The educational qualification is also different for different posts:

The candidates who are applying for the post of Income Tax Inspectors and Tax Assistants must have the graduation from a recognized university.

Stenographer candidates need to be passed in Intermediate or 12th standard.
  
Multi-tasking candidates need to be passed in matriculation or equivalent.

Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected on the basis of interview cum personality test and after that ability test will be taken.

The eligible and interested candidates can download the application form from the Income Tax Department’s website www.incometaxindia.gov.in or from the link www.irsofficersonline.gov.in. Attach the required enclosures with the duly filled Application Forms and send to the address given below with the title “Application for recruitment of meritorious sports persons in Income-tax Department” through Courier or hand. The last date to submit the application form is 23-01-2013 till 05:45 PM.

Application Fee: The application fee for general and OBC category candidates is Rs.100/- and there is no any fee for women and SC/ST category candidates.
